Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies

My husbands all time favorite dessert is chocolate chip cookies. I also love myself a nice warm chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven, but there are just so many good desserts out there that you gotta switch it up. So when I saw these Cookie/Brownies I knew I had to give them a try. He would get his chocolate chip cookie and I would get a taste of something new. We both loved them. The brownie and cookie flavor combination works perfectly together.

Mmmm... You have got to try these.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies

Brownie Layer:
Your favorite brownie recipe or if your felling kinda lazy like I was a box mix works great.

Cookie Layer:

Your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe or here is the one I used:
1/2 cup Butter, softened
1/2 cup Shortening
2/3 cup Sugar
2/3 cup Brown sugar
2 Eggs
1tsp Vanilla
1tsp Baking Soda
1tsp Salt
2 3/4 cups Flour
2 cups Chocolate Chips

Cream the butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add the soda, salt, and flour. Mix until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread the brownie batter in a greased 9x13 pan. Drop small spoonfuls of the cookie dough on top of the brownie batter. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out mostly clean. Enjoy!
