Wow, I forgot how good homemade waffles are(I have been using a mix for a while, shh don't tell). Unlike the, store bought mix, waffle I've been eating these tasted fresh and they even stayed crisp with syrup poured on them. Where as the mix ones seem to turn into a soggy mess the second I put syrup on them. If you have been using a mix for your waffles you have got to give these a try.

1 cup all-purpose flour(I didn't have any wheat flour so I used all white flour)

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

3 Tbsp sugar

3 eggs

4 Tbsp butter,melted

2 cups milk

In a medium bowl whisk all of the dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl whisk the wet ingredients together. Mix the two bowls together and stir until combined. Let the batter sit for 5 minutes. Pour the amount of batter needed for your waffle iron in and cook until golden brown on both sides. Enjoy!

Servings: I halved the recipe and it made 4 large round waffles
